Role:
As Director/Principal SEO Consultant, responsibilities include analyzing,
reviewing and recommending strategic and tactical changes to client websites
that optimize natural search results within relevant search engines by utilizing
Internet best practices, Website Audits and Competitive Search Analysis.

Responsibilities:
The Responsibilities of this position include:
- Provide SEO thought leadership, innovation, process improvement initiatives to
the firm and its clients
- Direct, participate in and report findings of comprehensive client Website
Audits
- Direct, participate in and report findings of comprehensive client
Competitive Search Analysis
- Create and recommend SEO Strategies and tactics
- Recommend SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies
- Manage client expectations, deliverables and timelines
- Direct and manage internal and external teams
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the individual should have a comprehensive understanding of:
- Internet best practices, Website Audits and Competitive Search Analysis and the
impact that these have on SEO
- The Director/Principal SEO Consultant must be able to articulate and communicate
the impact that Technical Structure, Design & Aesthetics, Content, Navigation,
Information Architecture, Branding/Marketing, Performance, Functionality and
ecommerce have on SEO
- Degree in Marketing with Online Marketing experience
- 5 – 10 years experience managing websites, both static and dynamic, updating
content and images where SEO and PPC played key role in delivery
- Excellent copywriting skills with a high standard of written English
- Ability to specify technical changes to technical/development teams
- An in depth understanding of search engines, search engine optimization and
factors that influence high rankings in Google
- Experience with PPC - Management of Pay per click programs
- Backlinking: can demonstrate successful link building campaigns that
result in the acquisition of large volumes of inbound, high quality links
- Highly analytical mind, comfortable manipulating and analyzing large amounts of
data.
- Experience with web analytics tools (Urchin, Webtrends, Ominiture)
- Experience using a CMS and an understanding of the impact they have on SEO
- Intermediate HTML skills, ability to hand code W3C compliant XHTML
- Understanding of ASP.net, IIS, ISAPI rewrite
- Ability to setup and test for 301 redirects, duplicate content
- Knowledge of Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN AdCenter
- Ability to perform research, analyze websites, document changes, and make
decisions regarding optimization approach
- Ability to compile and analyze search data and metrics and make decisions
regarding campaign direction
- Ability to perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis
to identify growth/optimization opportunities
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Comfortable interacting with C-level executives
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving
skills
